Global Household Goods Protests Filed with GAO
Two losing bidders in the Global Household Goods Contract have filed protests with the Government Accountability Office regarding the award to HomeSafe. American Roll on Roll Off and Connected Global Solutions both filed protests on November 24th to the recent $6.2 billion award.
U.S. Transportation Command first awarded the contract to ARC in April 2020, but HomeSafe and Connected Global Solutions, protested the contract. In October 2020 GAO upheld the protests, finding the initial award was plagued by “pervasive” violations of federal contracting rules. Over the past year TRANSCOM reevaluated the proposals before awarding the contract to HomeSafe. GAO has 100 days to rule on the protests which takes their decision out to March 3rd but GAO may make a decision earlier than that. The Moving and Storage Conference will keep members informed of developments throughout the process.
