Bio

Brenda has been with the Iowa Motor Truck Association since 1987. She served as Vice President for 14 years before being named President in 2008. For over 27 years, Brenda has been involved in every aspect of the organization and especially enjoys working with volunteer leaders, members and others to support the mission of the organization. As the voice of Iowa's trucking industry, IMTA is committed to serving its membership through a variety of programs and outreach efforts. Brenda holds a degree in Business with an emphasis in marketing and research from the University of Northern Iowa. In addition, Brenda participated in a certificate program in association management through the Institutes of Organizational Management and the University of Oklahoma. Brenda obtained her CAE designation in 1995 and has continued to oversee the CAE program in Iowa since that time. Brenda continues to serve on numerous boards and committees specific to trucking, association management and economic development and also has fulfilled several Governor appointments. Brenda is founder of a non-profit foundation that offers assistance to families in need in Central Iowa and actively works with high school educators to introduce students to the political process.
